The game is a first person shooter, in an open world setting. Both of these weapons (M4A1 and Fire axe) are two handed weapons. And the first thing i learn is that zombies have become a true t. DayZ is a post zombie apocalypse survival game set in a fictional former Soviet territory called Chernarus. In DayZ, when you get to a point where you have so much gear that you barely can carry anything else, you're dropping your knife for a sledge hammer or a fire axe, or maybe even your pistol for some extra slots for the ammunition in your M4A1.

DAYZ STANDALONE ZOMBIES PATCH
Other stuff like animations for eating and drinking, I am fine with. the newest 0.61 patch has dropped and so I have returned to check it out. The main threat to players right now is players. Arma games do this just fine, especially since the key for it is on the right side of the keyboard. There are very few zombies right now and if youre uninjured, you can usually outrun them. In real life, you could just one-hand your rifle and look at your compass quickly. Things made no sense and were actually more of a chore than real life. This process was such a pain in the ass, where it was just easier and faster to to the ambiguous "He's in the fucking treeline to the right!" rather than give directions. In DayZ Standalone, they made the Compass completely different, to actually look at it, you have to put away your gun, and take out the compass. In Arma and the mod, you could bring up the compass on screen with the K key, this let you quickly point out spotted enemies to your allies, etc. The biggest offender of this to me was the Compass. I have no problem with some hardcore elements of the game, but some things that were left to abstractions in Arma 3 should still be left to abstractions in DayZ.
